The City of Twin Oaks contracts with the St. Louis County Health Department for mosquito and vector control services. The services provided by the County include inspecting properties for mosquito infestations, sampling water for the presence of mosquito larvae, trapping of adult mosquitoes to track outbreaks and test for diseases, controlling mosquito breeding sites on public property, and the use of ultra-low volume mist spraying when mosquito outbreaks are determined.
To contact the Vector Control division of the Health Department with a mosquito concern, residents should call (314) 615-0680 or visit the St. Louis County Health Department website. Residents may also call (314) 615-4284 to hear a recorded message updated daily between 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. if and where mosquito spraying will be occurring that night. When sprayings are scheduled, they may be performed in the hours immediately after sunset or the pre-dawn hours of the next morning.
